Arbitary Obsessionist's Blog : Ambition is redundant. In life, mission is everything.

A cup of pessimism

with 19 comments

In the midst of mountains that failed to touch the sky,

A cup of coffee, half empty at heart, asks the question why…

Why is it, that success is not satisfying?

Why is it, that loneliness is terrifying?

Answers are missing…

At times, this restlessness can become an addiction

& setting of sun seems like a fiction.

What happens when missions collide with ambitions?

Will any of the two win? Or both will end up losing?

What I see now, is a rainbow of sun-rays.

& powerful.

But, unknown…

Am no good at poetry…so, let me not make uncalled for comments.

    Absolutely LOVED the lines:
“At times, this restlessness can become an addiction
& setting of sun seems like a fiction.”

  7. Forget the missions and ambitions Dev! Rather channel them to get to an IVY league biggie. Only that can be a fitting reply to M**.. 🙂

  9. The verse you wrote is great. I love the “rhyming-couplets” (as you put it).

Why we are not satisfied success? umm maybe its our biological way of using our brain, a fraction at a time. We finish one milestone, the next starts to frame up at a distance. 🙂

Ok, why not comment with some verses I wrote last year 🙂 It does not have a title . . .

    Pardon me, I ask;
For my ignorance and my insolence.
But why doth my heart long,
For things that concerns me or not.
    Why my mind doth ponder,
    Over matters significant or trivial.

    But lo! I submit myself,
To the inherent calling of my being.
    To question and ask,
    The very foundations,
    Of the social contract,
That binds the duality of Men.

I try to comprehend, but nothing.
    I look but see not.
    I hear but listen not.
For what pleases the heart and mind,
    Is perceived by the foundation,
    That builds the very structure,
    Of a complex being.

    Of what I know now,
    Is but little,
Of what there is and will ever be.
    I doth try,
    To outwit the course,
But to my utter dismay, I fail in discourse.

But one thing I know now,
Is that the World and its mysteries is big,
Or as small as we perceive it to be. . .
