Arbitary Obsessionist's Blog : Ambition is redundant. In life, mission is everything.

Sacrifice is disgusting!

Let me make one thing very clear at the start itself.
For what were you born? Just think.
No, not for others, but for yourself. You are here just for your own sake.“You are the only reason for your existence.”

So what about the verb called ‘Sacrifice’?
Whenever there is a sacrifice, there will definitely be someone collecting the sacrificial offering. And if you plan or you are currently in the state of sacrificing, then I would like to ask – WHY?
Why the hell should you become a martyr for someone else? Why should you loose yourself if you stand to gain nothing from it?
Being a martyr is so graceless. It’s actually honoring your adversaries too much.

“You were not born to be a doormat for others to come and wipe their feet. And discard you as something useless in the end.”

As always, I reinforce my view that society consists of parasites and creators. There are a lot of evil forces that are ready to suck you out of your happiness and these evils are technically ‘impotent’. Yes. They can’t reproduce easily. And the only weapon of their triumph is the willingness of the good to sacrifice itself for the evil.

Joy is the ultimate goal of our existence and not sacrifice. And believe me, our past has ample examples that support my view. Nobody has become great just by the act of sacrificing. (But I agree that there are exceptions) Rather those who did rise up were the ones who followed their heart and lived for themselves and not others.
So if a man speaks to you of sacrifice; he is speaking of slaves and masters, creators and parasites. But if ever you come across a man, who tells you that you must be happy, that it is your natural right, that your first duty is to yourself – then that is the man, who is not after your soul. He is willing to gain nothing from you.Though I shouldn’t , but still I will tell you to stop sacrificing for others, and try your hands at being Rationally Selfish.
i.e.
you got to pursue self interests and you should reject any form of human sacrifice, whether of oneself or of others.
And I swear, you will never in your life get an invitation to be great. So, devote your time towards planning for greatness, and not thinking about others.

Too boring?
Yes I know. I can be quite boring at times.

To sum up, I just want to say one thing…

“You are an end in yourself, not the means to the end of others.”

So keep rockin’
(…and not for heaven’s or god’s sake, but for your own sake, ….stop SACRIFICING!)

  2. Loved your post! The lines I most relate to:
“So if a man speaks to you of sacrifice; he is speaking of slaves and masters, creators and parasites. But if ever you come across a man, who tells you that you must be happy, that it is your natural right, that your first duty is to yourself – then that is the man, who is not after your soul.”

    So true!
